Dr. Diana Chan ,WAS-APC President: WAS Magazine/ December 2020
“It has been about 5 months since our inception as the new APC Board in mid June 2020. One of the key objectives of WAS-APC is to enhance connectivity between APC members and aquaculture professionals from other parts of the world. The collaboration with Aquaculture Innovation Centre (AIC), Singapore, in hosting joint thematic webinars has been fruitful with 2 interesting webinars focusing on aquaculture health and disease prevention and urban aquaculture held in September and October respectively. “.
Despite the improvements to the Covid-19 situation in Singapore some uncertainty still remains in the near term, where large events are concerned. The primary objective of safeguarding the health and wellbeing of all participants, exhibitors, staff, speakers and third parties is of utmost importance to us. With this in mind, we have postponed World Aquaculture 2020 until June 14-18, 2021 in Singapore.
